Formal Living Room Decor

I am just getting too anxious now!!  I have made some minor selections for the formal living room.

I have an existing couch I plan to use, but added a nice rug, a leaning bookshelf, and an arm chair.

Breaking Ground - 8/29

Yesterday we broke ground!! We were so excited to go out and check our lot out and see what the excavators had accomplished in just one day.

Below are some pics of all of us taking it in :-)

Project Manager Meeting - 8/22

I can definitely say Ryan Homes is very thorough and very detailed!!  Jennifer Lakhia is so awesome to work with. She keeps everyone right on task. Jake is very good at explaining things so that nothing is missed. We went over every single detail room by room!!

This meeting was so much fun. We got to basically put all the pieces of the puzzle together and sign off on each room.  We are building a fabulous house and are so blessed!  Four bedrooms, a finished basement, morning room, and a three car garage. What more could we ask for?!?!

It was also really fun to see our entire house staked off on our lot.

Selling the existing home

While most of my posts on here have been about our new home, I wanted to take a minute to say, selling an existing home is very stressful! Yesterday we had an open house.  There were 3 walk thrus. Not too bad considering it was a beautiful day in NE Ohio.

Our existing home has been on the market for just 3 weeks and we've had 5 walk thrus. We have 2 scheduled for today.

Fingers crossed and prayers sent that our home sells soon.  Our expected move in date is early November.  Ground breaking is August 28th. Excited and nervous all at the same time!

An Example of Our Finished Home

Over the weekend, I took the kids on a little drive thru other Ryan Homes allotments, in search of Venice, elevation k with a 3rd car garage. To my delight, I was able to find a finished home that has our same colors, stone, elevation and 3rd car garage.

This is basically what our finished home will look like & the great news is it's very different from the other homes being built in our Community:
