Which Elevation to Choose - K or B?!

So here we are today........ trying to decide which elevation to go with. We originally selected Elevation C and we are both certain we do NOT like that elevation. It's too boxy.  We want the third car garage, so we are leaning toward elevation B because it looks the best on that model.  Thoughts?!?!

Our Lot (with a POND)!

Our next step was driving around the homeowner sites.  We looked at nearly every lot in Knights Crossing.  Our goal was to score one of the larger lots and hopefully find something a little more private.  We found this beautiful one acre lot - with a POND!  We both knew instantly this was OUR LOT.

And of course the boys are already talking about fishing.  Get your waders ready boys.  This is the one!!!

P.S. The kids love the lot. Also..... that is not our correct address (a neighboring address) so don't go sending the housewarming gifts just yet!

How it began

We had been casually looking at homes on the market for a few weeks. Both of us loved the idea of having 4-5 acres of land. I knew having 4 bedrooms and 3 baths was my main objective so we'd have plenty of room for the kids. So we set our sites on finding this combination.

After looking online for a while and not really finding anything we truly fell in love with, Jason said I have an idea Nichole. He says - "Jarod said to keep an open mind"!  Okay, I can do that. I consider myself a very open minded person so why not.

We started our adventure by driving into Knights Crossing. We toured the Ravenna & fell in love! What a beautiful home. Could we make this dream a reality?!  We finally discovered that many of the things we liked with the home were "upgrades" so we opted to start with a smaller model - the Venice. This way we could stay within our budget and get the upgrades we wanted.

Having a finished basement was a necessity. ("Man Cave"). Although everyone keeps telling Jason the kids will take it over. I think we will find a way to share the space as a family just fine.

The morning room opens up the entire house, and we both decided that was also a "necessity". (Okay maybe not a necessity, but high on our list to turn this into a dream house).

So we began to think about turning this dream into a reality...........

Beginning to Blog

Well, what can I say? I've never been a blogger, but with so many family and friends in varying places, we wanted to share our journey on building our dream home together.  Please excuse me as I stumble through this technology a bit.  For those that follow us, we appreciate your love & support.
